By using Yapr (yapr.lol), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. We've written them in plain language because we respect your time and intelligence.

If anything here surprises you or doesn't feel right — please reach out. We mean that.

Yapr converts your voice into text — accurately, quickly, and privately. It's a free service with a daily quota that resets every 24 hours. No subscriptions, no trials, no credit cards.

Sign in with Google, GitHub, email and password, or a passkey — whichever feels right. Your identity, your choice. By signing in, you confirm you're at least 13 years old.

One account per person, please. We ask this to keep the free tier fair for everyone. Creating multiple accounts to game the referral or quota system isn't cool, and will result in all accounts being closed.

Use Yapr for anything that's legal and decent. A few things we do need to ask you not to do:

• —Don't use Yapr to transcribe content that's illegal, seriously harmful, or violates someone else's rights.
• —Don't try to bypass the usage limits through technical tricks.
• —Don't scrape, reverse-engineer, or systematically extract data from the service.
• —Don't resell or sublicense access to Yapr.
• —Don't record conversations without the consent of everyone involved.

Everything you speak and every transcript we generate belongs to you. We claim no rights over your voice, your words, or your transcripts.

Yapr's name, interface, code, and design belong to Yapr Inc. Please don't copy or redistribute them without written permission.

Your daily quota resets at midnight UTC. Unused quota doesn't roll over — that's how we keep the free tier sustainable.

Referral bonuses are permanent and accumulate over time. That's a genuine gift we're happy to give. Abusing the referral system (e.g., referring fake accounts) isn't allowed and will result in a closed account.

We're proud of our 99.2% accuracy benchmark. That said, AI transcription isn't perfect, and you should review output before using it for anything serious — legal documents, medical records, official filings. We're a productivity tool, not a certified transcription service.

We work hard to keep Yapr up and running. But we can't promise 100% uptime — no one honestly can. We're provided 'as is', and we'll always be transparent when something's wrong.

We're a small team providing a free service. To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is capped at $10 USD. We won't be responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

We can suspend or close an account if these terms are seriously violated. If that ever happens to you and you think it's a mistake, please reach out — we're human and happy to listen.

If you want to close your own account, go to Settings. All your data is deleted within 30 days.

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. If a dispute comes up, we'd much rather talk it through like adults than involve lawyers. If that doesn't work out, binding arbitration is the path forward.

If we change something important, we'll give you at least 14 days' notice — via email or an in-app message. Small grammar fixes and clarifications don't warrant a countdown.

Continued use after the effective date means you're on board with the new terms.
