Welcome to Yapr. By creating an account, signing in, recording audio, uploading audio, using Restyle, or otherwise using Yapr (yapr.lol), you agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and our Cookie Policy.

We wrote these in plain language on purpose, but they are still a legal agreement between you and Yapr Inc. If you do not agree, please do not use Yapr.

Yapr is a general-purpose productivity tool that turns speech into text and can rewrite transcript text when you use Restyle. It is not a certified transcription service, emergency service, medical device, health records system, legal records system, compliance platform, or professional advice tool.

Yapr may be free, quota-limited, experimental, changed, paused, or discontinued at any time. We can change quotas, features, models, providers, eligibility, or access rules when needed to keep the service running.

You are responsible for your account, your credentials, and all activity under your account. Keep your login safe, and tell us quickly if something looks off.

By using Yapr, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and old enough to use Yapr where you live. If you use Yapr for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization.

One account per person unless we approve otherwise. Creating accounts to bypass quotas, bans, referral rules, or abuse controls is prohibited.

Use Yapr for lawful work, and only when you have the rights and permissions needed for the audio, transcripts, and text you submit. You agree that you will not:

• —Record, upload, or transcribe anyone without the consent required by law.
• —Use Yapr for illegal, harmful, abusive, deceptive, infringing, or rights-violating content or activity.
• —Use Yapr as the official source of truth for legal, medical, financial, employment, immigration, emergency, or other high-stakes decisions without independent review by a qualified person.
• —Submit regulated health, legal, financial, child, biometric, confidential, or otherwise highly sensitive information unless you have confirmed Yapr is appropriate for your use case and you accept the risk.
• —Try to bypass quotas, rate limits, auth, security, model restrictions, or abuse controls.
• —Scrape, reverse-engineer, probe, overload, resell, sublicense, or use Yapr to build a competing service.

Your voice and words are yours. As between you and Yapr, you keep ownership of the audio, words, transcripts, feedback, and other content you submit, subject to any rights held by other people.

You give Yapr and our service providers a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, transmit, process, transform, display, store, copy, and otherwise use your content only as needed to provide, secure, support, improve, enforce, and operate Yapr, including transcription, Restyle, debugging, abuse prevention, legal compliance, and account features.

Yapr's name, brand, interface, code, design, copy, systems, and related intellectual property belong to Yapr Inc. Do not copy, redistribute, or misuse them without written permission.

Free is lovely, but it is not a forever promise. Free access, quota amounts, reset timing, referral bonuses, rate limits, model access, and feature availability are not guaranteed. We can change, reduce, suspend, revoke, or discontinue them at any time.

Unused quota does not roll over. Referral or promotional benefits can be withheld or removed if we believe there is abuse, fake activity, fraud, duplicate accounts, technical manipulation, or a mistake.

AI can be wonderfully useful and still be wrong. Transcription and rewriting can be incomplete, delayed, unavailable, biased, mistranslated, or formatted incorrectly. Benchmarks and examples are informational, not guarantees for your recording, accent, language, microphone, background noise, vocabulary, provider, model, or connection.

You are responsible for reviewing all output before using it. Do not rely on Yapr output as professional advice, official records, certified transcripts, medical notes, legal filings, financial records, or evidence without independent verification.

We work to keep Yapr available, but Yapr is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We do not promise uninterrupted access, error-free operation, data availability, specific latency, model behavior, transcription quality, retention outcomes beyond what the Privacy Policy states, or continued support for any feature.

We may throttle, suspend, block, remove, or limit access to protect users, providers, infrastructure, Yapr, or legal compliance.

Legally speaking, to the maximum extent permitted by law, Yapr disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, security, and reliability. You use Yapr at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yapr Inc. and its owners, directors, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or lost-profit damages, or for lost data, lost business, lost goodwill, substitute services, or claims arising from user content or third-party services.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims combined is capped at the greater of $10 USD or the amount you paid Yapr in the 12 months before the claim.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Yapr Inc. and its owners, directors, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your content, your use of Yapr, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, your recording or transcription of another person, or your violation of someone else's rights.

We do not like cutting people off, but we may suspend, limit, or terminate your account or access to Yapr at any time if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk, harmed the service, abused free access, caused legal exposure, or if continuing service is not practical.

You may schedule account deletion in Settings. The current product uses a short grace period before deletion is processed so accidental deletion can be cancelled. Some records may remain where allowed or required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, backups, accounting, legal compliance, or legitimate business records.

These Terms and any dispute with Yapr are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Before starting a formal proceeding, you agree to email legal@yapr.lol and try to resolve the dispute informally for 30 days. If it is not resolved, disputes will be resolved by binding individual arbitration in Ontario, Canada, unless applicable law gives you a non-waivable right to bring a claim elsewhere. You and Yapr waive jury trials and class, collective, consolidated, or representative proceedings to the maximum extent permitted by law.

We may update these Terms as Yapr changes. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice by email, in-app notice, or another reasonable method where required. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept the update, stop using Yapr and delete your account.
